Kia ora bloggers last week i made a pixel art of the jenny it was a little bit hard but i did it. this is one of the tasks that we have to do if where not practising the dance or singing. its really hard to find the colours and to copy it from a picture. This week on Wednesday we had to do a challenge for S.T.E.A.M. steam stands for science technology

Engineering and maths.

The challenge was to drop an egg off sky high on to the floor using 3  pieces of paper, one long piece of string , two pieces of long tape, and a little rubbish bag. i was working with Macy Riley Leah and Holly.

Today for maths we had to make a robot out of shapes on google draw.

and after we got it printed out then we had to measure all the angles on my robot and then post it on our blog.

 Today for literacy we had to make a burger. How to write or structure a good 

                          paragraph. It shows that there are sections to a paragraph. 

                      

 we are using T.E.X.A.S the t stands for topic sentience, the E stands for Expand or Explain, X is for example, A is for Analysis, S is for summarising.

Angles

 

Hi bloggers this week for maths we have been doing angles 

but today we did angles on our name this is my one. in my name there is 

Acute angle, right angle , obtuse angle, straight angle, and a Reflex angle.

For numeracy today, we have started to learn about angles.  

We learnt about 3 different angles today - acute (less than 90°), right angle (90°), and obtuse (larger than 90° but smaller than 180°).  We also learnt how to use a protractor to measure angles.  We know that we need to measure an angle from a vertice (a corner where two straight lines meet).

For our create task, we had to measure three different angles on the first letter of our name - can you  figure out if they are acute, right angle or obtuse?

In reading we are reading a book called Holes the book is about a boy named Stanley yelnats.Stanley was sent to camp green lake for a crime he did not commit. He was accused of steeling shoes from a famous sports person.

 at camp green lake he has to dig one 5 foot hole a day. Camp green lake is a dry waste land in the middle of nowhere and its very hot.

Stanley is from a poor family,he is over weight, at school he was bullied.

Stanley's family is cursed. He is always in the wrong place at the wrong time.
